The problems of the early twentieth century in the feuilletons of Ali Nazmi

Abstract

One of the brightest representatives of the Azerbaijani press Ali Nazmi, often referred to the genre of feuilleton. One of the active writers of the magazine “Molla Nasreddin” A.Nazmi touched upon the important shortcomings of the time in his feuilletons. Like his contemporaries he often appeared in periodical press with his works which covered the difficulties faced by the people, domestic and socio-political problems.

His feuilletons cover education, enlightenment, religious backwardness, superstition, child rearing, struggle for human rights, injustice, women's freedom and other important problems and shortcomings. The famous writer and journalist Ali Nazmi's pen was his main weapon. He was able to create beautiful examples in our literature and press due to the power of his pen, his artistic skills and became an invaluable fighter for the well-being of our people.
