Issues of Russian literature in the scientific heritage of Mikayil Rafili

Abstract

The article is devoted to issues of Russian literature in the scientific heritage of Mikayil Rafili. In addition to the fact that Mikayil Rafili is an outstanding literary scholar and critic, his excellent mastery of translation art comes to the fore. It should be noted that although Mikayil Rafili entered the world of literature with artistic creativity, later he chose the path of science and became known as the author of many scientific monographs and articles on literary studies, the theory of literature and the history of literature. The literature reviewer's approach to the classics of Russian literature is presented as a sign of a high level of mastery of the subtleties of this language. Azerbaijani readers received information about the masterpieces of Russian literature precisely in the presentation of Mikayil Rafili.
