“WORDLESS” CARICATURES CREATED BY AZERBAIJAN ARTISTS SPEAKING IN AN INTERNATIONAL LANGUAGE

Abstract

The “wordless” caricatures that speak the international language developed by our artists with high professionalism are examined, the object of criticism of the caricatures, the logical conclusions drawn based on the plot line are analyzed. The place and essence of “wordless” caricatures in the creativity of Azerbaijani artists, which are a new and modern trend, speaking in an international language, and intended mainly for the prepared reader, are discussed. The article talks about the diversity and variety of themes of caricaturists’ “wordless” caricatures published in republican periodicals, as well as exhibited in international caricature contests and exhibitions. The effective activity of the artists in the direction of highlighting the problems and various problems existing in the society is noted. In the article, the multifaceted creativity of the artists, their “wordless” caricatures and satirical paintings with different themes are analyzed in comparison.
