MEHDI MAMMADOV'S STUDIES ON THEATER

Abstract

Theater is a means of aesthetic cognition with the function of educating people by touching their emotional sides. The essence of artistic creativity is to influence people and instill positive ideas in them. In this regard, involving these two areas in a unified analysis is one of the urgent problems of our time. Mehdi Mammadov, distinguished by his activity in the field of art, fulfilled his duty as a researcher by investigating the important problems of theater and dramaturgy. The aim of the article is to look at the scientific knowledge of the theater scientist who studies the theoretical and aesthetic aspects of dramaturgy. In this regard, Mehdi Mammadov's ideas about theater and dramatist, theater and actor, actors' services in the history of Azerbaijani theater, acting schools were analyzed, and his place and position in the history of literary and theoretical thought were evaluated.
