Problems of national romanticism in a new context of research

(Based on the work of Yashar Garayev “Tragedy and the Hero”)

Abstract

The article consistently considers the study issues of the ideas of national romanticism and the tragedies by Javid. In particular, the analysis of the tragedies “Sheikh Sanan” and “Iblis” based on the work of Yashar Garayev “Tragedy and the Hero” was made. The methodological, conceptual basis for the study of these works today was determined, taking into account the experience of ideological analysis by Soviet literary criticism of these works, as classic examples of national romanticism. To achieve this goal, first of all, the attitude of vulgar sociological criticism to national romanticism was studied, the factors that form this attitude and their influence on the principles of analysis were identified.

Yashar Garayev, in the analysis of the romantic heritage, against the ideological criticism, formulates a new scientific and theoretical concept. The article discusses the theoretical provisions, cognitive and aesthetic aspects of this concept. It is concluded that the study of Yashar Garayev terminates the understanding and study of romantic literature as the art of the opposite front. This study was a new stage not only in the study of romanticism, but also in the development of scientific and philological thought in general.
