Abstract

Avdi Goshgar (Hasanov Avdi Musa oglu) was born in 1958 in the village of Kamarli, Gazakh district. In 1979, he graduated from the Faculty of Language and Literature of the Azerbaijan State Pedagogical Institute. He worked as a teacher for some time. Then he became the editor of the eternal-artistic programs on the Azerbaijan State TV. Now he continues his work on the “Culture” channel. While still a student, his first poems were published in the newspaper “Ganj muellim” of the Azerbaijan State Pedagogical Institute. Later, his poems began to be published in the periodical press of Azerbaijan. The poet's themes are diverse. There are enough works related to nature, society, as well as Karabakh, his long stay in the enemy's territory, refugee, displaced life, pains and sufferings of the Motherland, Almighty God, Holy Mother, family, love, etc. In this article, the poet's poetry is included in the analysis. The most noteworthy poetic works of Avdi Goshgar, who reflected the heavy burden of life in his poems, were appreciated. His poems such as  “Oguz grandfather, Oguz homeland”, “Azerbaijani soldier”, “Motherland”, “That country that was looted and burned”, “Poets are the stones of zeal of a people”, “To my mother”, “Letter to my mother”, “Take me to you, my God”, “God, give understanding” and so on. are like this.

Academician Nizami Jafarov, doctors of philological sciences Vagif Yusifli, Rustam Kamal, poet, researcher Ali Reza Khalafli wrote interesting scientific articles about Avdi Goshgar's work. They are referenced in this article.
