FUNCTIONAL-EXPRESSIVE FEATURES OF MEANS OF ARTISTIC EXPRESSION

(Based on Azerbaijani lyrics of the 18th century)

Abstract

Azerbaijani lyrics of the 18th century reflects the thoughts and emotions of the period, and is rich in literary examples that contain the beauties of the art of poetry and artistic ways of expressing ideas. Azerbaijani literature experienced the most glorious periods of its development and was a part of the all-Turkish culture in the 16th and 17th centuries. Although Azerbaijani literature lost its former glory and poetic images due to the political decline of this period (the 18th century) was able to remain standing due to the “support” and superiority of oral folk literature, and developed rapidly in terms of subject and language: viewpoint on the art and its mission was changed. All these changes and their characteristic features emerge more clearly during studying the artistic qualities of the lyrical works of the period.

In the article is studied the main means of artistic expression used in Azerbaijani lyrics that entered the stage of new – early realism in the 18th century and their functional expressive characteristics.

During the study, work was carried out on the texts and hermeneutic and historical-comparative methods were used.
