Carpet images of modern Azerbaijan artist Faig Ahmad

Abstract

The problem of interpretation of such polysemantic phenomenon of traditional culture as Azerbaijan carpet in the space of postmodernism is studied on the example of the creation of modern Azerbaijan artist Faig Ahmad. In the works of the artist the carpet undergoes certain artistic metamorphoses and transformations. He becomes the bearer of numerous cultural igurative expressions. In artistic modeleing of his works Faig Ahmad uses the method of deconstruction. The carpet is in the role of simulacrumgoing through its “second life” and bearing another information.
