Pre-Islamic religious cult of Turkic peoples of the Caucasus

Abstract

Ancient turks till the adoption of Islam had a high culture. The religion inluences upon all elements of spiritual life of the society ­ customs, norms, values, meanings and knowledge. Religious faith strengthens all signiicant mental purposes such as respect for traditions, harmonious world outlook, personal valour etc. This complex of religious rituals embodied in cults, festivals, burials has made up the people’s world outlook. Confusion of peoples and languages, their religions and cultures has brought to the elaboration of human and cultural tolerance of the population of the region preserved up to nowadays.
