Development problems of restoration and preservation during period of independence

Abstract

The article deals with the problems existing in the ield of restoration and preservation in Azerbaijan during period of independence. Rich collections of national museums are full of various items of decorative art, which need constantly preservation and restoration. The lack of modern restoration laboratories completed with the latest equipments and materials hinders the development of this most important direction in museum work.
