Theme about patriotism in Azerbaijani stage during independence years

Abstract

The article states about stage impersonation of patriotic theme in spectacles staged in Azerbaijan during independence years. It is referred to staging of N.Mammadli’s “Javad khan” at Ganja State Drama Theatre, B.Vahabzadeh’s “Martyrs” at Azerbaijan State Theatre of Young Spectators, I.Efendiyev’s “Lonely oleaster tree” at Azerbaijan Academic National Drama Theatre, Rauf Icherisheherli’s “Motherland needs courageous” at Baku Municipal Theatre, Huseynbala Miralemov’s “Shame” at Azerbaijan Academic National Drama Theatre, also the scenic design of the same playwright’s “Ganja gates” at the same theatre. Such qualities as patriotism, heroism, militancy are come to the fore, stage director’s work, composer’s music and artistic staging are studied.
