Prayingmats in the creative works of contemporary artists on the carpet

Abstract

The article is devoted to modern prayingmats in the creative work of artists on the carpet. Early traditions of the professional creativity of prayingmats date back to the Safavids era and date back to the 16th-17th centuries. Later, these traditions were lost. The revival of these traditions falls on the 20th century. Modern carpetartists create designs of prayingmats based on traditional compositions.
