Bulbul’s stage work in the context of synthesis of East and West musical traditions

Abstract

In the article the work of an outstanding singer, the founder of the national vocal school Bulbul is consecrated. Characteristics of his performing, pedagogical activity are stated. In the interconnection of these creative spheres, the ways of the formation of national vocal performance are traced and revealed its main trends, practically and scientiically substantiated by Bulbul. The author characterizes his roles, created on the stage of the Azerbaijan Opera Theatre, in opera productions of Azerbaijani and European composers.
