State symbols of Azerbaijan Republic in the shabaka art

Abstract

State lag, emblem and anthem were symbols of mobilizing people to serve their Motherland and collecting the nation’s energy together throughout the centuries. Today the state lag and emblem of Azerbaijan is demonstrated in a number of ilms and theatre performances, and described in the colority boards. However state symbols of Azerbaijan get artistic interpretation only in one ield of art, in the shabaka art. Shabaka master Toig Rasulov owned to this unique creative experience. In the paper State Flag of Azerbaijan Republic, king igure from the “Chess igures” series, “Fire towers” and “Nar (pomegranate)” compositions worked by his shabaka technique are analyzed.
