Abstract

The article examines the variety of topics in cartoons published in the English satirical magazines of the XIX century. Particular emphasis is placed on the essence and importance of satirical press and satirical graphics. The article gives special attention to the creative work of English cartoonists, their fruitful activity in covering the existing problems in various aspects.
