    Abstract

In the article, the author shows that the Kirkuk region within the territory of modern İraq is our ancient historical lands. Today, nearly three million of our compatriots who share the same language with us live in Kirkuk. Turkic peoples, who occupy a special place in the world civilization, have created a rich cultural and artistic heritage. Over the years, the various territories conquered by the Turkish people for certain reasons, the social and psychological situation reflecting their lifestyles, the cultural environment and conditions they live in have also influenced their language and lifestyle.
The folklore examples of our compatriots are the same, sometimes very similar to our examples. Khayrats is one of the widespread branches of folk poetry, which has a central place in contemporary Iraqi-Turkmen poetry. Khayrats, which have become a symbol of the existence of Iraqi Turkmens, are known as Bayatis in Azerbaijan.
Khayrat consists of seven syllables and contains a lot of meaning with few words. Those with jinas are called khayrat, and those without jinas are called manis.
In the end, the author emphasizes that in the modern era, the Turkic World as a large geography faces many different states, cultures, and the flow of foreign cultures.
