Lezgi-Islamic scientist Hasan al-Alqadari and scientific-paleographic features of hisautographed manuscripts

Abstract

One of the non-Azerbaijani scientists who played an important role in the public life of Azerbaijan with his creativity is Mirza Hasan al-Alqadari, a prominent representative of the Lezgi people. Despite being born, raised and educated in Dagestan, he learned the Azerbaijani language, and was engaged in journalism in Azerbaijan, maintaining close contact with local public and scientific figures. For this reason, the scientist wrote works in Azerbaijani, along with Arabic and Persian, and worked as a secretary by copying several famous works. Examples of Hasan al-Alqadari's rich creativity are preserved in the fund of autograph manuscripts, old printed books, periodical press materials, and personal archives at the Institute of Manuscripts named after Muhammad Fuzuli of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences. In the autograph book B-4156, which is one of the
autograph books kept at the Institute of Manuscripts, a work with jurisprudence written by the author near his death, covering pages 214b-216b of the manuscript collection, the date is recorded as Rajab 1328 AH/July 1910 AD.
