    Abstract

Although the quantitative category of nouns has been studied in each of the Turkic languages, there are still some gaps in their comparative analysis. From this perspective, the article aims to focus on these aspects.

The plural form, in addition to its primary meaning, also conveys several secondary meanings. Clarifying these meanings helps to reveal the functional and semantic features of this category. In Turkic languages, plurality is expressed not only through morphological means, but also through lexical and syntactic methods.

A noun with a plural suffix, when used as an anthroponym or toponym, acquires new semantic content. The article also examines such onomastic units.

Another noteworthy aspect is the double pluralization of nouns that denote quantity in Turkic languages. The article provides a comprehensive analysis of the ways in which double plurality is formed.
