ETHNOCULTURE AND LANGUAGE SITUATION IN MODERN AZERBAIJAN

Abstract

The article is generally devoted to the problems of ethnoculture and language situation. Here, special attention is paid to the functional state of the native language in modern Azerbaijan, as well as the ethnoculture and language situation in our republic. The development of the concept of language situation, the language landscape in Azerbaijan, the main features of the language situation in modern Azerbaijan, the role of certain relations in the specification of this situation are substantiated, and functional features between the types of language situation are also studied. “Language situation” is analyzed as an important object of sociolinguistics. The main types of language situation, as well as its objective factors and parameters are considered. The focus of the article is on the use of the State language in other countries, including Azerbaijan, the problems of bilingualism, multilingualism, their normative acts are characterized in various spheres. The article notes that ethnoculture and language situation is one of the main categories of sociolinguistics. It is also determined by the development and gradual development of language policy in any state.
The study explains 3 important components of the language situation: 1) the social conditions of the functional language; 2) the use of the language in various spheres (areas) and environments; 3) the form present in the language.
