    Abstract

The verbal system of the language of Azerbaijanian Tats differs to some extent from the verbal systems of other Iranian languages, including the non-conjugating forms of verbs. The verbal system of the Tat language, which is included in the south-western group of the Iranian language group, has been studied by Vs.Miller, A.L.Grunberg, M.Hajiyev and others. For the first time, the infinitive is being studied based on materials collected from different Tat dialects and accents, and its similarities and differences with other Iranian languages are being examined. The article discusses the existence of infinitives in a certain
type and in a certain tense. It is noted that infinitives have a syntactic function in the Tat dialects and accents, as in the Azerbaijani language. Thus, infinitives can act as an attribute in attributive constructions. Infinitives have both verb-related and noun-related features. In both Azerbaijani and Tat languages, infinitives can act as a subject and object in a sentence, like nouns.
