NOTES ON ETHNOTOPONYMS WITH VENAND AND VEND COMPONENTS

Abstract

In this article, research on the etymological meaning of Garvand ethnotoponymy is presented to the readers. In addition, the areas of Garvand ethnotoponyms are also shown. It is shown what the Vend component means and in which other toponyms it is used. In general, it is listed in other toponyms that exist in Azerbaijan with the vаnd component. The meanings of the words vand and vnand are investigated. In this work, it is suggested that the ethnotoponyms with the "venand" and "vend" components in Azerbaijan do not have the same content.
