In the article, the near and far peripheral zones that make up the structure of a qualitative semantic field reflect the possibilities of its functional implementation. Consequently, each language has a zone of near periphery and a zone of far periphery of the semantic field. The semantics of each of the adjectives denoting quality expresses the relationship of the meaning of this quality to an object, a living or inanimate being, an object. Like every language, the modern Azerbaijani language has rich linguistic means of expression. This semantic field with its structural elements forms an integral system in the grammatical structure and lexical-semantic structure of the Azerbaijani language. Linguistic research of the qualitative semantic field makes the application of the functional-semantic method to the Azerbaijani language more relevant. A qualitative semantic field, like other universal
semantic fields, has its own core and periphery, vertical and horizontal structure. In the modern Azerbaijani language, adjectives form the core of the semantic field of quality, adverbs, verbal adjectives, attributive and substantive words, some nouns, verbal adjectives, syntactic style-movement branching sentences, degree branching sentences, as well as phraseological and paremiological units are formed. its periphery. In the modern Azerbaijani language, the horizontal structure of the semantic field of quality is made up of degrees of adjectives, and the vertical structure is made up of adverbs of image and action, nouns
and verbs denoting quality.
