SOME NOTES ON THE LINGUISTIC FEATURES OF THE WORK “HUNDRED HADITHS AND HUNDRED STORIES”

Mustafa Zarir's work “One Hundred Hadiths and One Hundred Stories” is one of the works based on hadith translations that appeared in the second half of the 14th century. The language of the work is rich in old Turkic words and grammatical forms. One of its most valuable aspects is that it is not burdened with Arabic and

Persian elements like the classic divan literature, but on the contrary, like the vocabulary of “Kitabi-Dada Gorgud”, it created a vivid picture of the oral folk language by feeding on the treasure of oral folk literature. In the work, naturally, words, expressions, terms and personal names with religious content are used.

Despite the fact that the monument was written in the 14th century, its language has not changed much compared to the modern literary language of Azerbaijan. This indicates the development of our language based on early sources and its unchanged grammatical structure.
