M.A. RASULZADE'S JOURNALISM AS AN EXAMPLE OF POLITICAL DISCOURSE

Abstract

The main characteristic feature of the modern political discourse is the transmission
of information affecting the public consciousness through the media. M.A. Rasulzadeh, the
leader of the national liberation movement of Azerbaijan, constantly appealed to the public
with his journalistic writings through the media.
Mass manipulation was the main tool used by the media politicians. It is in this way that
the political leader of his time influences the worldview and ideology of the nation and tries to
implement his goals and plans. M.A. Rasulzadeh was regularly published in various newspapers
and magazines, expressing his attitude to the social and political events of the time.
In his discursive texts, M.A.Rasulzade tried to motivate and influence people's
minds to distance them from negative characteristics such as cowardice and bloodshed and
to wake them up from ignorance.
The article analyzes the strategies used by M.Rasulzadeh in his political discourse
for the sake of certain ideas for any political goal. Persuasive and suggestive texts aimed at
persuading the addressee to call were investigated. The article also looks at the special
forms of appeal in M.A. Rasulzade's political discourse.
