The article talks about "petrified" word roots in Turkic languages. One of the methods of word creation in Turkic languages by morphonological means is the formation of petrified roots. The emergence of fusial roots in Turkic languages reflects the stage of development of word roots towards initial suffixation. In Turkic languages, in the ancient times, the root+image boundary was lost in some word roots due to morphological development, and as a result, new words were formed. In Turkology, the initial structure of Turkish word roots has not been precisely determined. Our research will help to solve that problem. On the other hand, we hope that this dissertation will also fill the existing gap in etymological research in Azerbaijani linguistics. Although various studies have been conducted on the root morphemes of Turkic languages, many issues have not yet been resolved. The issue of the phonetic structure of the first word roots is one of the main problems of Turkology. The primacy of deafness or ringing in ancient root words is controversial. The issue of the primacy of open or closed syllables is explained by contradictory opinions. The origin of most monosyllabic words in Turkic languages has not been clarified.
