STYLISTIC PROPERTIES OF OWN NAMES IN EPIGRAPHIC MONUMENTS

Abstract

The article talks about the stylistic properties of the epigraphic monuments of the Azerbaijani language. The study
of the stylistic properties of epigraphic texts is relevant, as so far no research has been conducted in this direction. These
studies are useful on the one hand for the study of historical stylistics in general, and on the other hand for the study of
the linguistic properties of epigraphic texts. In the epigraphic texts, various stylistic methods are used: repetition, connotative
interpretation, synonymy, antonymy and anthonasia of anthroponyms.
Thus, the anthroponyms observed in epigraphic texts along with the direct function with a stylistic coloring act as
a means for the transfer of new stylistic effects.
