PHRASEOLOGİCAL COMBİNATİONS İN THE PLAYS OF NAZİM HİKMET

t. Due to the wide range of phraseological combinations and the variety of phrases used in the plays, phraseological
compounds are grouped in accordance with the sections given by Azerbaijani linguists. Phraseological combinations in
the plays of Nazim Hikmet are systematized according to the section of G. Bayramov. By their structure, they are divided into two parts: verbal and non-verbal. This article focuses on verbal phraseological combinations, since they prevail
in the plays of Nazim Hikmet. By the nature of the syntactic relationship between the components, there are several
types of verbal phraseological combinations. According to the form and means of expression of the first part, verbal
phraseological combinations are divided into several structural types. Based on this division, we expressed our views on
the phraseological units of each type in the plays of Nazim Hikmet. Each of the phraseological combinations we have
mentioned is the most frequently used not only in the plays of N. Hikmet, but also in spoken Turkish. Looking carefully, we come across a number of similar phrases in the plays. These similarities are not in the sense, but in the form. That
is, the first side of phraseologisms is the same, and the second (verbal side) is expressed in different words. Verbal
phraseological units dominate in Nazim Hikmet’s plays, and there are very few non-verbal phraseological units. If we
carefully look at the divisions, we see that in the plays of N. Hikmet phraseological combinations fit the “keyword
without suffix + verb” model.
