HEYDAR ALIYEV'S IDEOLOGY OF AZERBAIJANISM

Abstract

The work done by our eternal leader Heydar Aliyev, in the name of the official language, resulted in the fact that
the name of our country, our people, our nation, our state has been remained as the Azerbaijani language.
Heydar Aliyev, who always taking seriously the issue of the name of the official language, every time has made
effective speeches about its history.
President Heydar Aliyev, chairman of the Constitutional Commission at the meeting of the commission preparing
a new constitution project on November 5, 1995 expressed his determination to the name of the official language as a
logical result of the discussion: «Expressing our great respect and reverence for our historical roots, we have a moral
right to say that in the 20th century our language has evolved and developed, gained its unique name and reached the
statel level. It is not right to rename it».
