REGULATORY TECHNIQUES USED IN THE TRANSLATION PROCESS

Abstract

In translation, certain adjustment methods are used to regulate the expression of the source
message in the target language in a different form, in the fullest and most precise sense. It is important
to implement these methods so that the translated text is not misunderstood by the reader. Thanks to
the methods such as additions, reductions, substitutions, etc., it is possible to convey the content of the
source text to the target text by expressing the original idea. These adjustment methods are used to
eliminate inconsistencies between the source and target texts, and to express the translated text correctly and competently in accordance with the source text.
