THE ROLE OF ETHNOGRAPHIC VOCABULARY IN ENRICHING THE TERMINOLOGY OF THE AZERBAIJANI LANGUAGE

Abstract

In the process of interethnic communication, the problem of communication of language and
thought, language and culture, as well as the spirit of the people, is highlighted. The essence of the
language, functional features, origin, etc. such questions are directly related to the fate of the people to
whom they belong. Unfortunately, the study of linguistic phenomena in Azerbaijani linguistics covers
ethnographic vocabulary not completely, but somewhat limitedly. At the same time, research is mainly limited to dialectological issues. Language is seen more as a means of information exchange. Aspects of the relationship between language and thought, language and national culture require extensive research. Studies on the intersection of linguistics with other sciences are relatively few.
