Abstract

The article discusses the role of time conformances and determinants in the connection of
compound sentence components in the language of folklore materials. It was noted that one of the
signs that the components of compound sentences are syntactically cohesive is the time conformances
between the components and determinants. The time conformances are divided into three groups: past,
present and future, and serve to regulate the relationship and interaction of ideas in the sentence, show
the richness of the potential of artistic and poetic expression of the folklore language.
Along with time conformances, determinants also link the components of compound sentences.
The determinant, which is a common element, belongs to all the components of the sentence and
mainly acts as an adverb and object, which are secondary members. Determinants also play a role in
connecting the components of a compound sentence and help to reveal the poeticity of the folklore
language.
