ON THE INVESTIGATION OF THE NAGORNO-KARABAKH CONFLICT IN AZERBAIJANI SCIENTIFIC JOURNALS

Abstract

As a result of research of many scientific journals in Azerbaijan such as News of Nakhchivan
Branch of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, News of Baku University, “Revival - XXI
century”, News of Pedagogical University, “Geostrategy”, it can be concluded that in these journals
the employee of the Azerbaijan University of Languages N.Asadov studied the destructive role of the
Armenian factor in the colonial policy of Azerbaijan in the first quarter of the XIX century (1813-
1828), Doctor of Philosophy E.Mammadova and employee of Ganja State University M.Taghiyeva
studied the history of Karabakh on the basis of sources such as information of Russian officials. B.
Hasanov, an employee of the Institute of History named after AA Bakikhanov of ANAS, studied
Armenian separatism in Upper Karabakh and their genocides against Azerbaijanis in Upper Karabakh
in the early twentieth century (1905-1906), N.Mammadov studied the history of the Aghdara region of
Karabakh, that this region is an integral part of Azerbaijan and they involved the subject in research
based on historical factual materials. N. Mammadova also highlighted the problem of cultural development in the Nagorno-Karabakh Autonomous Region of the Azerbaijan SSR in the 70-80s of the
XX century, the irreplaceable role of the national leader Heydar Aliyev in the cultural development of
the Nagorno-Karabakh Autonomous Region of Azerbaijan in the 70-80s of the XX century in another
article. G. Mustafayeva, an employee of Ganja State University, investigated the legal investigation
into the bloody crimes committed by Armenian fascists against Azerbaijanis captured and held hostage during the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict in the 1980s and 1990s and laid the
groundwork for a future international court. Leading researcher of the Institute of History named after
A.A. Bakikhanov of ANAS, doctor of philosophy in history A.Balayev researched the next stage in
the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict (2003-2006), the determined political activity of
President Ilham Aliyev, who entered the great policy, in the direction of the peaceful settlement of the
Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, within the framework of Azerbaijan's territorial integrity and internationnal law. Doctor of Political Sciences, Associate Professor E.Ahmadov commented on the international
legal aspects of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
