Abstract

Story genre in the creative work of representatives of Nakhchivan literary environment at the end
of XIX century and at the beginning of XX century is analyzed in regard to mastery, language and style issues are discussed widely. The works of writers attract attention with individuality of language,
especially its proximity to the nation’s language, language and style freshness, originality, word and
expression innovation. Such originality shows itself in the investigation of authors, in speech of images taking place in stories, in lexical, stylistic, syntactic means of language, as well as at the time of
using metaphors and emotional-expressive words. These stories where lexical and semantic features
of national classical heritage and folklore samples are reflected, are distinguished with simple expression form and language comprehension. It is possible to come across to terms arising out of requirements of the period and hard compositions in the stories.
The idea, position and especially speaking of authors is given skillfully in the language of images in the stories distinguished with originality. The place and position of means – individual and situational expressions and syntactic figures (oration, dialogue, monologue, types of sentences for their
structure and purpose) characterized as speech fact and which is a product of figurative thinking has
been investigated widely in the works of writers. The style of writing in the stories distinguishing with
variety of topics and artistic language features could describe the view of literary language substantially. A new scientific review to the works of writers of Nakhchivan origin having unparalleled services
in formation of Azerbaijani prose language in the said period
