Abstract

Latin-language poets who lived in the II-I centuries before the era such as Publius Vergilius Maro, Tiberius Catius
Asconius Silius Italicus.ect, have numerous examples of archaic Turkish ethnographic lexicon. The majority of these
words is military and political titles, clothing and weapons. In addition to this, in the works of Marcus Terentius Varro
which is called De lingua Latina have many latin words that has borrowed from agglutinative languages of Southwest
Asia. On the chapter on etymology, the author gives a brief overview on which ancient languages they are derived from.
