SIMILAR AND DIFFERENT LANGUAGE FEATURES IN YUNUS EMRE AND GAZI BURHANADDIN “DIVAN”S

Abstract

The linguistic aspects of the "Divan" of two great poets of the Turkish world Yunus Emre and Gazi Burhaneddin,
who lived at different times are compared in this article and certain similarities and differences are revealed. Although,
the structure of both Divans is preserved to some extent, there are some different features in terms of content and ideas.
In this sense, following the language factors and the position of the development of lexical units in the "Divan" of both
poets in terms of intimacy depict a reality. It would be wrong to admit that the lexical fund of both divans consists of
lexical components of purely Turkish origin. So, it is necessary to take into account the influence of religious and philosophical, socio-political activities of both poets in the development of words of Arabic-Persian origin and lexical units
in the national language on the divans. Both divans contain terminology took from Arabic language sometimes with
slight phonetic alterations. Although, colloquial language was used in Gazi Burhanaddin's "Divan" but not so the level
of Yunus Emre's work as. The philosophy of love has a special role in the works of both poets. Love and soul are depicted as a complementary and supportive concepts in both divans.
