SOME ARCHAİSMS AND THEİR LEXİCAL-SEMANTİC FEATURES İN NAKHCHİVAN GROUP OF DİALECTS AND ACCENTS

Abstract

Archaic words are the most interesting and ancient layers of dialect vocabulary. These lexical units that sometimes
combine both phonetic and grammatical, as well as lexical features at the same time in itself are very precious
pearls.Nakhchivan group of dialects and accents which is distinguished by the unique featurein the dialect system of
Azerbaijani language is rich with such words and phrases. The article studies such archaic words as ül, günü, ün, küz,
yavımax, tülüwhich are used in these accents. While the etymological explanation of these words modern literary language, Turkic languages and dialects, as well as the ancient sources belonging to Turkic have been quoted.The most
interesting aspect is the traces left of such words in our modern literary language. Historically, these archaic words that
were active in the word creation process have actively participated in the creation of a set of words, and have left their
traces with the various phonetic and semantic changes insome of the wordstoday. Thus, these dialect facts give basis to
say whether some lexical units which are adopted as simple words in our modern literary language are derivative or
compound. Such words at the same time are very important in terms of following the process of the historical development of the language.
