GENERAL AZERBAIJANI-TURKISH WORDS IN NIZAMI'S PERSIAN "KHAMSA"

Abstract

Hundreds of lexical units of Turkish origin are used in the originals of Nizami's five poems, ghazals and poems.
The poet repeatedly allocates space for each of them.
The Turkisms mentioned in the article are common words of the Azerbaijani literary language, as they were nine
centuries ago. 15 Turkisms are simple nouns and 6 are simple adjectives.
The relevance of the article is that Turkisms are given in Persian in the relevant verses, philological translations of
the author of the article are presented, which is important from the point of view of the history of the Azerbaijani literary language.
We hope that scholars and researchers studying Nizami's poetic legacy will pay attention to the linguistic issues
raised in this article.
