Abstract

Sound repetitions serve as a means of setting the verses to a certain harmony. This is the main reason for which
words are not ignored. Repetition at the phonetic level is one of the manifestations of aesthetic perception and artistic
thinking of the poet. From the analysis it is clear that the assonance and alliteration can not be explained simply by the
processing of one and the same phonetic units at close distances. This aspect is reflected in all aspects of the work of the
Azerbaijani poet I. Tapdiga, who was able to use sound repetitions as an artist. However, the article examines the
repetitions of sounds in children's poems by the author. Poems created with the help of sound repetitions are not just a
means of creating a pleasant impression, but for this form of expression there is the whole concept of figurative
perception. Apparently, sound repetitions help to build a poem on a certain harmony and demonstrate its aesthetic and
emotional function. The use of alliteration in combination with assonance not only gives the poem a linguistic
coloration, but also carries an emotional-expressive load, and although it manifests itself at all levels in the language of
poetry, but it is a poetic language. Therefore, although the intonation and rhythm of the poems are different from the
natural speech, the vocabulary artist teaches the sound composition and points of development of each word in its text.
After all, the correspondence of the words used to the general meaning of the poem enhances the harmony and
expressiveness of the verse, adding new meanings to it. For this reason, the use of alliteration and repetition in poetry
should be considered as regularity, not as coincidence.
