Abstract

Having a special place in Azerbaijani linguistics and creating a school Abulfaz Racabli is the author of dozens of
textbooks, manuals and monographs on various fields of linguistics. Undoubtedly, his main activity was related to
Turkological linguistics. This is not accidental, because both his PhD and doctoral dissertation were related to the
language of ancient Turkish written monuments. Later, the scientist published several monographs in this field and
published a four-volume monograph on the grammar of written monuments. Abulfaz Rajabli is also the author of many
monographs and textbooks in the field of theoretical linguistics. His fundamental works on the history of both world and Azerbaijani linguistics are very relevant in terms of studying the history of linguistics. The scientist has works on
individual linguists who have a special place in the history of world linguistics, as well as on schools that have left their
mark on the history of linguistics. In addition to the works written by Abulfaz Rajabli on the theoretical aspects of
linguistics, he has many monographs and articles in other fields. The scholar's works on the Talysh language are of
interest in this regard. The article briefly comments on the main directions of the work of the prominent Azerbaijani
linguist, Professor Abulfaz Rajabli.
