Abstract

In the XII and XIV centuries, the Khorezm-Turkic language, which was a continuation of the Karakhanid -Turkic
language in Central Asia, but differed from it in its newly acquired features, began to function as a literary language.
The status of Kharezm Turkish as a literary language caused disagreements between different authors. The article reflects the reasons and approaches to these disagreements. The author analyzes works related to the Kharezm Turkic
language, which has long had the status of a literary language in Central Asia and plays the role of a transition from the
Karakhanid-Turkic to the Chagatai. This includes a variety of words, works of art, scientific and religious works. The
textological and linguistic features of the works are reflected in the article, which tells in detail about the written samples of this period, such as "Nahjul-faradis" by Mahmud bin Ali, "Muinul-murid" by Islam, "Muhabbetnamе" by
Kharezmi, "Khosrov and Shirin" by Qutba. At the same time, a thematic classification of the vocabulary of individual
works was carried out, a statistical analysis of the origin of words was given.
