ACADEMICIAN TOFIG HAJIYEV'S INNOVATION IN THE HISTORY OF THE "AZERBAIJANI LITERARY LANGUAGE"

Abstract

Academician Tofig Hajiyev, when speaking about the legacy of Mahmud Kashgari, the mother of our ethnic monument Kitabi Dada Gorgud, the product of Turkic ethnic thinking, the language, culture, ethnography, exotic language
landscape, customs and traditions, rich wise sayings, refers to the most accurate sources. Regardless of the academician's research direction, in all these works, national affiliation came to the fore, and this revealed the national identity
of the Turkish scientist. The article focuses on the scientific activity of academician Tofig Ismayil oglu Hajiyev and
discusses the scientific innovations associated with his name. Many linguistic issues, which are still controversial in the
world of Turkology, especially the period of writing and its beginning date, the emergence of the national language, as
well as the beginning of a new phase of the national language, etc. is the main line of the article. Against the background of these issues, the first ones signed by the scientist are presented in a comparative sequence. The first ones are
presented on the basis of his two-part work "History of the Azerbaijani literary language", published in 2012.
