Abstract

The article is devoted to the rules for using types of sentences in the language of cinema. In general, simple sentences are recommended. In addition to limiting the structure of speech in cinema, attempts are made to limit the
amount of parallel expressions. For example, it is stipulated that he does not tolerate long phrases. After 30 long words,
the actor gets bored and the audience slumbers in front of the screen.
It is noted that cinema requires its own language - laconic, concise and expressive. It is also noted that the authors,
referring to the linguistic and stylistic features of Azerbaijani cinema, also conclude that its syntax is laconic. In most
cases, the syntax of the speech of the actors is so laconic that it is difficult to find the wrong word here. However, complex sentences are still characterized as a syntactic unit that aggravates speech, and this is justified by the fact that unnecessary long repetitions and complex sentences are used in films. On the one hand, this complicates the language of
cinema, on the other, it makes it difficult for the viewer to understand the text.
The article uses the relevant literature and monographs. Excerpts from feature films are interesting
