Abstract

In the speech process, cases such as fast pronunciation, adjustment of the oral
apparatus towards comfort, tendency to save in language sometimes lead to
deformation of syntactic units – change in form, structure, and sometimes meaning.
Thus, a combination or sentence consisting of two or more words is pronounced
under an accent as a result of a sound, syllable or word drop. This is generally a
natural state of speech and is observed in the Azerbaijani language, especially in its
dialects and subdialects, as in other languages: çilosən ʽcolanderʼ, be:cə / bè:jə /
bèyjə / bı̀yjə / bìyjə ʽtonightʼ, óyza ʽto that sideʼ, gála ʽcome buyʼ, gə̀kgəma ʽcome
give meʼ, gö̀kgəma ʽtake it and give it to meʼ, má ʽgive meʼ, bö̀yün / bö:n / bü:n
ʽtodayʼ, ə:n / a:n ʽthat sideʼ, bə:n / ba:n ʽthis sideʼ etc.
The syntactical fusions observed to one degree or another in all dialects and
subdialects of the Azerbaijani language are of interest in terms of lexical meaning,
phonetic composition, grammatical structure, and function in the sentence. İt is
more appropriate to compare literary language and dialect in the etymological
analysis of syntactic combinations formed in the direction of word combination →
complex word → simple word, sentence → complex word → simple word, composition word → simple word etc., and in determining the ways of formation and
characteristic features: a) syntactical fusions recorded as a characteristic dialect
sign, although they preserve their completeness in the literary language; b)
syntactical fusions, which are literary language facts and are analyzed on the basis
of dialect material; c) syntactical fusions that are a dialect fact and can be analyzed
through other dialects and Turkish languages; d) syntactical fusions that are a fact
of literary language and dialect and can be analyzed through written monuments.
