TEACHING ISSUE OF MOTHER LANGUAGE IN THE MAHAMMAD AMIN RASULZADE’S CREATION

Abstract

In the articles of Mahammad Amin Rasulzade there is wide scope for
interpreting such issues as the creation of a national school, the teaching of local
languages in addition to Russian, from a national aspect. The outstanding
personality considered it important that children know their native language, no
matter how many languages they study in the educational process, regardless of
their nationality. M.A. Rasulzade paid attention to teachers who taught this
language in addition to teaching their native language, highly valued their
personality and important role in educating the people. He pointed out the need for
these teachers to have the same privileges and rights as other teachers and set the
same salary. He spoke about the importance of school and public education for
training smart, competent personnel, and fought for the creation of educational
institutions for this purpose. In schools, he worked to develop a stepmotherly
attitude towards local languages, to overcome the obstacles that were posed in
every attempt to teach these languages. Ideas, views and works of M.A. Rasulzade,
associated with the native language in education, play an invaluable role in
strengthening the position of the native language.
