Abstract

The article deals with cognitive linguistics, which is regarded as a new field of linguistics, the
foundation, key directions and various aspects of this field are investigated. Identifying the speaker's
internal cognitive structure is one of the primary challenges in cognitive linguistics. In cognitive linguistics, it is crucial to understand how mental knowledge is cognitively processed and comprehend.
Cognitive linguistics is a recent field of linguistics that studies the nature of language and thought, the
interaction of language and mental processes. The article also covers the main concepts of cognitive
linguistics - frame, conceptosphere, concept. The concept, as the leading category of cognitive linguistics, is reflected by the scientific-experimental knowledge that people use in their thinking processes. Concepts - mental units in which data about events and processes is gathered, organized, and stored, are formed and function according to cognitive systems.
