Abstract

Some lexical units used in the Azerbaijani language are compared in the article.
Reconstruction issues have not been systematically investigated in Azerbaijani linguistics.
Although in this aspect considerable achievements have been made in the study of many language families of the world (mostly Indo-European, Ural), it is very difficult to say the same thing for the Turkic languages, especially the Altaic family.
It should be noted that conducting such studies at both the lexical and morphological level is of
particular importance in the study of language history in general, and in forming an idea about the prewritten state of the language. Obtaining detailed information about the pre-written language is a clear
issue that plays an indispensable role in obtaining more correct conclusions about the structure of the
literary language, its development stages, and the specific language characteristics of the periods.
