THE CONCEPT OF «KARABAKH» AND «VICTORY» IN THE LANGUAGE OF MODERN AZERBAIJAN POETRY

Abstract

The article analyzes one of the main objects of the study of cognitive linguistics "concept", as
well as the concepts "Karabakh" and "Victory" based on modern Azerbaijani poetry. The theme of
Karabakh has always been relevant in Azerbaijani poetry. In the 90`s of the XX century, the theme of
the Motherland, love for the Motherland, especially Karabakh war, occupied an important place in
Azerbaijani poetry. Our poets of the older and middle generation, such as Sabir Rustamkhanli,
Bakhtiyar Vagabzade, Javida Mammadova, Ramiz Rovshan, Famil Mehdi, Gabil, Nariman Hasanzade, as well as the younger literary generation, poetically reflected these themes in their works. If until 2020 the themes of loss of land and homesickness prevailed, today our great victory has brought
the theme of Victory to Azerbaijani literature.
