SHIRAZI’S “GULSHANI-RAZ” TRANSLATION, WHICH IS ONE OF THE VALUABLE EXAMPLES OF MEDIEVAL AZERBAIJANI TRANSLATION LITERATURE

Abstract

Shirazi’s translation of “Gulshani-raz” draws attention with its high artistic craftsmanship.
Shirazi skillfully benefited from the rich vocabulary and colorful expression tools of his mother
tongue Turkish. For this reason, the translation of “Gulshani-raz” is considered as one of the valuable
resources reflecting the old layers of Turkish languages. In the language of the translation, many old
and rare words of Turkish origin are used that attract our special attention even today.
