    Abstract

The article examines the creative work of the contemporary Azerbaijani artist Faig Ahmed, who has gained international recognition through his innovative reinterpretation of traditional carpet art. The study analyzes the distinctive features of his artistic method, based on the transformation of classical carpet forms and ornamental compositions of Azerbaijan, Turkey, Iran, India, and the Caucasus. Particular attention is paid to the synthesis of national traditions and contemporary artistic practices, which enables the artist to create unique art objects that transcend the boundaries of decorative and applied arts. It is noted that Faig Ahmed’s works contribute to the revitalization of cultural heritage, establish a dialogue between the past and the present, and demonstrate the possibilities of adapting traditional crafts to the contemporary artistic environment.
