Budaq Munshi Qazvini, author of “Javahir al-Akhbar"

Abstract

The article is devoted to the life and activity of the Budagh Munshi Ghazvini, author of the book "Javahir al-akhbar", which reflects important information about the history of Azerbaijan in the XV-XVI centuries. For this purpose, the information in "preface" written by Mohsen Bahramnejad,compiler of this book is used. It should be noted that, in terms of scientific knowledge, this first written source is currently being translated from Persian to Azerbaijani language by the author. First of all, main purpose of writing article is to introduce Budagh Munshi Ghazvini to the scientific community of Azerbaijan in a detailed way. The important historical information about Budagh Munshi Ghazvini in "Javahir al-akhbar" work is highlighted. According to the information, Budagh Munshi Ghazvini worked in various government positions during the mentioned period. It is for this reason that his work "Javahir al-Akhbar" is of great importance for Azerbaijani historiography for XV-XVI centuries.
